I’m not a local but the cheese and tomato toastie I had was the best I’d ever tasted. Well done. The coffee is very nice also and the place is quite cozy.
I love this place! Such tasty drinks (from white hot chocolate to coffee in various types) and pastries and sandwiches! And freshly squeezed orange juice. Reasonable prices. Super friendly staff, really nice ambient and comfy furniture with variety of shapes, heights, colors. Cozy :-). It is now my to go place for breakfast when in Cardiff.
One of the best coffee chain options in Cardiff, Coffee #1 regularly makes a much better coffee than the other big name coffee chains. With a host of wonderful, and friendly staff, this is a regular haunt for a craft group I am part of. We like to buy multiple drinks, and various food items across a span of several hours on a weekend morning, and the staff in this branch have always allowed us to stay for as long as we like. You can spend hours in here chatting with friends or family - take note though, that the WiFi is unreliable. This can be good for promoting conversation, but does make for a tricky location to work on a laptop from. Overall, whilst there are independent coffee shops whose coffee I prefer, this branch of Coffee #1 always delivers when there's a big group of us with differing drink preferences. Big shout out to the lovely staff, with the manager (I think, though I don't know her name) being a particularly friendly and lovely person. Thank you Coffee #1!
Just next to Hilton Hotel, whose coffee isn't very good, so Coffee#1 was a great step out to decent coffee served in a wonderful room with lots of seats.
Don’t usually leave reviews but compelled to today. The young Man who served me had an amazing personality which uplifted my spirits today!! Also the best caramel macchiato I have EVER had. I like my coffee particularly hot and this cup of coffee was perfect. Thank you for making my day!!
Omg the service I received today was outstanding! Friendly, chatty and made me feel so welcome and comfortable! Tried the new millionaire shortbread hot chocolate and it was DELICIOUS!! Thank you so much to the lady working there who recommended it to me - was a perfect treat to add to my Lush facial I had just recieved! You are an incredible human being! For a chain, this venue has a very unique feel. Relax and just a general nice vibe. Staff were welcome, food and drink selection was great and the coffee was good. Clean, tidy and cosy place to chill or chat with friends.
I've been here many times and always a great selection of food and hot drinks. The servers are very friendly and efficient...always a service with a smile. Easy access to enter with no steps and a WC inside specifically for those with reduced mobility.
